01Photo 1: a clear front view
Choose an image with the whole face in focus and evenly lit. A natural expression makes proportions easier to understand.
Avoid sunglasses, masks, hands over the face and filters that change facial features or skin colour.
02Photo 2: a complementary angle
A three-quarter or slightly side-on view adds information about profile, hair volume and overall head shape.
An extreme profile is unnecessary. Complement the first image and show a consistent stage of the person’s appearance.
03Photo 3: context and personality
The third image can show a familiar expression, natural hairstyle or clothing you want to use as inspiration.
For Body, a view of the outfit can help. The face should still be clearly identifiable.
